Youth Meeting Chair

We are looking for our next Youth Meeting Chair! Youth Meeting is a delegation-based program for 12-13 year olds.   CISV Detroit has Program Chairs for each international program we participate in as a chapter. This includes Village, Youth Meeting, Step Up, Fortnight, Seminar Camp, and Junior Counselors at Village. The Program Chairs work closely with the Vice President for Programs.   Program Chair responsibilities include:
  • Attending monthly board meetings
  • Participating in identifying programs for the travel season
  • Participating in recruitment events
  • Communicating with interested applicants and families regarding application process and program activities
  • Recruiting and interviewing candidates for leadership positions
  • Collecting application materials and interviewing potential delegates
  • Assisting with delegations preparing for travel, including participation in chapter events
  • Working with chapter travel agent to secure program travel arrangements
  • Serving as a liaison between camp programs and parents/families of delegates during the travel period
  • Conducting program debriefs with delegates, families, and leaders
