CISV Detroit is looking for our next Vice President for Programs!   CISV Detroit has two Vice Presidents – a VP for Programs and a VP for Operations. The Vice President for Programs liaises with board and chapter members regarding traveling programs. The Vice President for Operations liaises with board and chapter members regarding Junior Branch, chapter operations, and hosted programs. This opening is for VP for Programs.   The Vice President is a three year commitment – two years in the VP role, and the third year serving as President of the chapter. The immediate Past President serves in an advisory capacity for the new President.   Vice President for Programs responsibilities include:
  • Attending monthly board meetings
  • Working with the Program Chairs on selection, preparation, sending, and evaluation of delegates to CISV programs (Village, Youth Meeting, Step Up, Fortnight, and Seminar Camp)
  • Working with the Delegate Recruitment Chair
  • Working with the board to ensure all leaders, staff, JCs, and delegates receive proper local and national training prior to their program experiences
  • Attending National Chapter Development Training as preparation for role as Chapter President
  The current term began in September 2024, so would begin immediately, first serving as VP of Programs through September 2026 and then serving as President September 2026 - September 2027.   For more information, contact detroit@cisvusa.org.
